The new Nokia N8

Yesterday (27 April 2010), Nokia has just introduced its first device to be powered by the new Symbian^3 platform, behold...the new Nokia N8. This NSeries smartphone device will be launched in the market with a new breed of camera that will rival with the current point and shoot digital cameras. Sounds interesting, isn't it?
What amazed me for this device is its 12-megapixel camera combined with Carl Zeiss optics and Xenon flash, which features a larger sensor than any ever used in any other Nokia device, even bigger than many found in digital cameras.

Here's the list of features and enhancements that are available for the new Nokia N8 device:
- Operating System (OS): the new Symbian^3
- 3.5-inch HD (640 x 360 px) capacitive touchscreen
- Improved 2D and 3D graphics for faster and more responsive user interface (UI)
- Supports touch gestures and multitouch input, like flick scrolling and pinch to zoom for photos
- 3 customisable homescreens for apps and widgets
- High Definition 720p of 25fps video recording with a smart built-in editing suite
- Built-in storage of 16GB and is expandable up to 48GB with a micro SD card
- HDMI connecter to plug in to HD-TVs, with Dolby Digital Plus surround sound system to double up the entertainment experience
- Greater memory management and a visual task manager
- Access live feeds of Twitter and Facebook updates directly from the homescreen
- Access the dedicated Web TV application for news and entertainment on the move
- Comes with free global Ovi Maps walk and drive navigation with support in more than 70 countries worldwide
- Beautifully carved from a single piece of anodised aluminium and comes with 5 colours: Silver White, Dark Grey, Orange, Blue and Green
- It will cost €370 (estimated about USD492 or RM1,566) before the local taxes and subsidies
- Expected to ship in the 3rd quarter of 2010
